C. Rudy Alexander - President, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder
Rudy brings over 20 years of leadership experience in software, technology and media/communications to his role as President and CEO. Prior to forming the company in 2001, Rudy served as Managing Director and Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the U.S. and European offices with Engineous Software, and was also member of the board of directors of their Asian subsidiary. In 2005, Rudy was awarded the Entrepreneur of the Year award by the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, a fitting tribute to the entrepreneurial spirit, commitment and passion he brings to bear as he mans the strategic helm of 11Giraffes.
Aaron Petrosky - Vice President, Corporate & Business Development
Aaron has nearly fifteen years of diverse experience advising closely-held companies and grew up in a family business. He is a hands-on advisor to lower middle-market companies in transaction advisory, financial management, strategic business development and guiding companies in distressed/turnaround situations. Aaron’s work includes sound decision making, setting strategic direction, financial management, operational improvements, change management, and advising family businesses. In addition to guiding companies day-to-day, Aaron focuses on raising debt and equity capital and leading M&A company sale processes for lower middle-market companies. He has in-depth understanding of the debt and equity capital markets as they apply to middle-market businesses.
Previously, Aaron founded his own advisory firm, and as a CFO led multiple restructurings and refinancing as a member of a senior management team. He also worked at a Boston consulting and boutique investment banking firm serving a variety of closely-held and family businesses with consulting and financial advisory services. Aaron has worked with clients from start-up to $200M in revenues and in various industries including consumer products, multi-unit retail, food & beverage, manufacturing, distribution, business services and technology.
11Giraffes Technology Department contributes an average of 16 years of experience in the technology and software development fields. Continuously designing proprietary software throughout the company’s history, the tech unit has integrated research & development to produce remarkable technology in the demanding and ever-changing digital media industry. With a critical and intuitive understanding of the end-user, as well as the installation technician, our tech department continues to exceed the expectations of our dealers and clients.
From the inception of the company, The Creative Team has played an instrumental role in the business development starting with the original elevator Message Link concept which combined Flash-based video imagery with interactive user content, a precursor to the digital platform. The team is well-versed in all aspects of multi-media design and graphic software with over 8 years working with the latest technology under their belt. They are responsible for all creative content and marketing materials distributed to dealers and clients and assist other team members to plan and design diverse creations such as custom designed templates.

Averaging over 15 years of client relations experience with industry giants like Microsoft and Muzak, the team possesses high level training and skills to ensure our dealers excellent product knowledge reinforcement and their clients’ exceptional customer service experience. Mr. Thomas K. Hightower, Board Director
Mr. Hightower founded Kinko’s of Washington, Inc. and served as President and Chairman the Board from 1981 to 1996. From 1990 to 1994, Mr. Hightower was President of Kinko’s Service Corporation and also served on the Board of Directors of Kinko’s, Inc. from 1997 to 2002. Since his retirement in 2002, Mr. Hightower has established two construction firms, Hightower Construction, Inc., and Highmac, Inc. After 20 years in the U.S. Army, Mr. Hightower retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, earning a Distinguished Service Cross for Valor in the Republic of Vietnam. Mr. Hightower has a BS degree in Bio-Chemistry from Western Kentucky.
Mr. Russell T. McFall, Co-Founder & Board Director
Mr. McFall, retired President of Lockheed Martin Telecommunications, transformed this leading technology company’s satellite manufacturing capability into a global telecommunications services business, and established himself as a leader in the global mobile communications industry. Mr. McFall’s career spans over thirty years and he currently serves as a consultant on satellites and communications. He received his BS degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland and a Master’s Degree in Management Science from Penn State University.
Dr. Michael J. Heinen, Board Director
Dr. Heinen is the founder and owner of Lake Norman Animal Hospital in Mooresville, North Carolina. He founded the practice in 1985 which now includes six doctors. Dr. Heinen is also a cofounder of Candy Concepts. Dr. Heinen has served as a member of the Lincoln Bank (now First Charter Bank) Advisory Board and as the Chairman of the Iredell County Board of Health. Dr. Heinen is also an active real estate investor and developer. He received his Bachelor and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from the University of Georgia.
Mr. Ronald G. Scates, Board Director
Mr. Scates spent over 20 years with Science Application International Corporation in the United States, England, and Venezuela and oversaw offices in Wales, Scotland and the Netherlands. He served in varying IT leadership roles as Corporate VP, Group Senior VP, Senior VP/Program Director and Director of Operations. He was responsible for the integration of IT functions, including the development and implementation of long-term strategies and standardization policies and procedures. Mr. Scates received his BA in mathematics at California State University, and his Masters in Management Science at USIU.
